Virtual Patients have become increasingly popular in Medical and Nursing education due to the recognized advantages over traditional teaching methods. As an interactive tool, they allow students to practice clinical skills in a safe and controlled environment without the risk of harming real patients. At the same time, they represent a cost-effective, time-efficient, and customizable approach suitable to the Institution’s curriculum and students’ learning objectives.

Body InteractVirtual Patient Simulator – presence at the SESAM 2023 conference will help you understand the benefits of using Virtual Patients in Simulation-based Learning and Assessment in Medical and Nursing education.

Through a wide range of scenarios, covering more than 30 different medical specialties, current and future healthcare professionals are challenged to apply into practice their knowledge, clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

All scenarios are based on real-life medical cases: they lead to improved patient safety and achieve better healthcare outcomes.

Simulation-based Assessment with Virtual Patients

Body Interact workshop on June 14th at 10:30 am, Room 5B.

Simulation-based assessment is one of the new methods Body Interact offers teachers and institutions to evaluate healthcare professionals’ clinical skills and knowledge.

To implement it you need to use the simulated scenarios that will allow you to review and assess the users’ ability to diagnose, treat, and manage patient care in a safe and controlled environment.

Through objective feedback at the end of each clinical scenario and combined in the Body Interact Learning Management System (BI Studio), educators can identify the areas that participants need to improve or review. It’s also a more realistic evaluation method compared to traditional written exams, providing a more accurate representation of the challenges healthcare professionals face in real-life situations.

On June 14th at 10:30, in Room 5B,  join the Body Interact workshop to learn more about this subject. Get the chance to meet international experts who are already implementing the first and most advanced Virtual Patient Simulator in their institution’s learning and assessment strategy.

Note: In the SESAM program for June 14th, you will see it as an Industry workshop – “Simulation-Based Assessment by Body Interact | Take The Wind”.
